STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Drummer Interviewed On WDHA-FM 105.5 FM (Audio)
September 17, 2011Terrie Carr of WDHA-FM 105.5 FM, the rock music station licensed to Dover and Morristown, New Jersey, last week conducted an interview with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS drummer Eric Kretz. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS were forced to cancel the last four shows of the band's summer tour after singer Scott Weiland was put on immediate vocal rest by his doctor, according to a statement issued by the group. Shows in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 13; Louisville, Kentucky on September 14; Council Bluffs, Iowa on September 16; and Concho, Oklahoma on September 17; have all been scrapped, although the Concho gig has already been rescheduled for November 5.
According to the band's statement, Dr. Sid Khosla, Director of the UC Health Voice Center in Cincinnati, said, "Upon a video stroboscopy we determined [Weiland's] left vocal cord has likely scarring and his right vocal cord is tremendously inflamed.
"With such a heavy concert schedule and vocal activity we determined that Mr. Weiland could potentially run the risk of a vocal hemorrhage or suffer permanent damage hence putting him on complete vocal rest."
The statement added that the other three concerts would be rescheduled, but that refunds were available at the point of purchase as well.
